    Feeling tired of seeing webpages displayed in Times New Roman? Wikipedia pages displayed in weird typography? Don't have a clue where to find good web fonts? You may need to read this article.

    This article deals with several common problems with fonts used for webpage display. It first debriefs categorization of fonts, introducing concepts like fixed-width and proportional fonts; then it analyzes problems of using the default fonts for viewing webpages, especially on Chinese Windows PCs. The latter half of this post is mainly concerned about criteria for choosing an appropriate font for webpage display and word processing, as well as proper moves to achieve that. The article ends with the author's personal recommendation of Charis SIL as a good choice for serif font.
